No wind forecast till maybe Sunday arvo. .Then a light SEster for a coupla days ?
Should I rent an SUP for a week ?
Why rent a sup when you have a #$$$# big sailing boat, I know which one I would use
Yeah I was joking about the SUP.
its pretty nice weather really, nice that there is actually no wind, rather than just a sloppy messy light breeze that is no good for anyone except old people playing golf!
You should ALL be practicing light wind jibes, helitacks, ducks etc on a big board with a small sail for when the wind DOES blow!!
KONG!!!!!!!
Noticed some nice mares tails in the sky today! Doesn't that mean wind in a couple of days?????

i've been racking my brain about this years doldrums and what to do.
then I had an epiphany.
teach thy kids.
it's ridiculous. highs as far as one can see. surely we'll start getting some kicking SW winds soon. it's odd that there are no decent lows in amongst the highs down south.
positive side is the ocean is pristine at the moment. i reckon we should hit up Caloundra bar for a session once the westerlies kick in. speed sailing should be ok there as well. be like dunk doing his run in-between small waves.

Never seen any speeds done there Justin too gusty?
you could be right. I haven't sailed a SW there in over 15 years.
have been going there a lot lately and it's really looking like it's getting back to a former glory. the sand is vastly different to what it used to be.
it could also just need some time on the water there to see what can happen. it's like sandstone point. that place in a SW wind rocks but we always seem to miss the wind every time we go there.
just looked at the forecasts.
we're pretty much shagged until around the 4th of may when a smoking westerly is being forecast. it's a massive low on the models. I don't usually follow winter systems so no idea how the models are around this time of year.
the bar has half the fetch of wello. sandstone point has 2-3 time the fetch of wello.
No wind when I am on holidays again! That's twice in 6 weeks!
Found a new sport while there's no wind - Sky Diving! Having a crack at it Saturday.
forecast is holding for the eastcoast low.
are you keen to give sunday a go at bulcock? SW forecast currently. hard to pass up wello on sat with the westerly.
will start a new thread most likely
