Has anyone ridden both the 2022 Tabou 3S Plus Team boards and an older Dyno like the 2019 version and can advise of the difference?
Ive got the 2019 Dyno in a 95 litre and i feel like its not a great gybing board due to the straight rails. Im looking for something in a more surfboard style shape without being a full wave board. I have a lot of other Tabou boards which i love, so am looking for input from anyone whos tried both the above boards and can let me know the differences if any. Cheers :)

Not those model years but i can say in general terms that around the 16-19 3S had a rocker line that was super close to the Dyno. Like reallly close
So the get up and boogie, top end speed are really similar to me.
I do agree the 3S can be better in a bottom turn with full rail engagement whereas the Dyno is more tighter / off the back foot. ... so I'd agree with your thoughts about gybing

I also think my FSW is better than both but the rocker line might be really similar too

Ive just got my 2023 106 3s plus team. Ive only used it once. I had a fanatic fsw stubble 105 and in the past 3s classic. I haven't ridden a dyno, I'm 90kg

Had the 3s plus out with a 5.7 and waist high waves in cross shore conditions. Its great, turns well off the front foot and back foot. Quite smooth and gybes smooth. Better turning than my fanatic and 3s classic, which I did quite like. The planning abilities was about the same I thought, but way better turning in the waves.

Ok great, thanks for your input mate. Im still deciding if i take the plunge and get rid of my dyno for the 3S so the more info i get from those who have experienced one the better. Cheers. :)
