6.7 seems a bit small? Especially for a 115 and 89Kg. In 20 knots my 70 Kg are very happy with AV Modena 88L, 60 wide, and a 6.8 with 33 fin.
The board I'd say is a race board but in a way the rig is letting it down. The Hellcat which is a great sail is not a race sail, its a no cam free ride sail.
That board really should have a proper cammed sail.
Also if thats your only sail it wouldn't be much of a race against someone with more sails as it'll only fit into a certain window of wind.
Here's the windsurf mag Hellcat review: www.windsurf.co.uk/test/neal-pryde-hellcat-7-2m-2016-test-review/
What about the board? I heard it sails much like iSonics?
Also which fin do you think will be the winner?
Bigger sail yes but i usually go seaside when it's gusting 25knots so for now i wont buy 7.8
Hellcats like to be fully lit. I had the V8s and loved them for the twin cam stability & lightness. Neither are race sails but great anyhoo
I use a carbon Lockwood 38 & 33 on my patrik FRace110 and Lockwood fins on my Patrik SL boards too. Now have Patrik 3 cam sails.
So V8 would blast in less wind.
What about patrik slalom board - is it more orianted towards speed or control?
