Just thought I'd show a few photos of my new heavy to light wind boards ...although they are 2015 models ,the shape remains the same for 2016 for the Titan .both very different boards the tabou longer @250 ,125 litres 69 wide .the Titan a massive 83.8 wide , 240 long 130 litre.
Titan, very good at gybing slow or fast ..it was hard to blow it ,and seems to plane through lulls so easy .Surprisingly good in chop ..very stable when the wind drops ,jumps on the plane very quick .the 48 fin is well suited.A great light wind board without having a huge amount of literage .and when on the plane it feels small ..well it is short at 240..
Tabou .well what can you say about this board ..wow.fast ..points well ,comfortable in chop ..and it is my number one ocean board ..being the LTD ..it feels so light under foot for a board of this size..I find it best when powered up with a 40 fin rather than the 42' supplied ..maybe because of the fact that I'm using it with a 7.0 and ocean sailing ..needing the tail to sit down ..abit .
Bloody hell Naish must be finally to the end of that supertanker of yellow paint
My attempt at humour, apologies in advance to all those distressed
The 2016 model still has some yellow ..so he still has a few 44's out the back .
but your right ...maybe red could be his next favourite .
still love the board ..it's hard to fall off this one .
great with a. 8.0.
Can take up to a 8.8 let's say 9.0.
