My new Quatro 105 L power (229cm/64cm/23cm PB - MFC thruster set), has turned up. To be used with my 5.8/5.5 ezzy wave sails.
My Quatro 98 L cube (225cm/60.5 - MFC quad 350), use with 5.8/5.5/5.0/4.7 enzymes wave sail.
l love the quad, fast all around wave board, great in gusty cross off conditions, but wanted something faster, floater for summer NE, 15-25 knots.
Hopefully conditions down south this weekend for both ??.
Great boards. For a moment i thought the blue is a custom. I have 2017 Cube 95. Love it. Will probably keep it for next 5 years or so.
Sold the 102 L JP, still got and love the 94 JP ultimate wave. Need to keep under 90 kgs to use it more.
Hey Nerdburger, time for an update on ur boards, how are you finding them??? Differences between the two, pros/cons etc.... I've always liked the Cubes and have wondered how the Power would go. I'm Still riding and loving my 87 Pyramid- it's a killer board!!!
I can probably answer cons and pros of these two close volume boards only owning one (Cube).
Cons:
It's two boards so every time there is wind you have to pick your brain which to take. As a twin Cube sails very similar to FSW. Just need a bit larger twin fins with less rake.
Pros:
It's two close volume boards so if you break one you always have the second one
Absolutely love both boards. The quad I've used 12/14 knots float and ride through to 30 plus. With sails 4.7/5.0/5.5, ezzys
It plans quick, turns great, is playful in nature and a true do all conditions wave board. Highly recommend for my 90-95 kg as a one wave board option. I love this board. When I'm back to 85-88 kgs I'll ride it 90% of the time I recon.
The power 105, I use for 12-25 knots when the waves are small, gutless, with sails 5.5/5.8 ezzys.
Ive used with the supplied thruster 23 cm and sides, with 25cm and sides and single 28 cm fin. Very versatile board. Highly recommend. Its the most waviest FSW wave I've had, better on waves than severne Dyno 105 / JP 102 FSW and OES xwave 100 - that was an amazing board and should have kept it.
It doesn't plan as quickly as the Dyno, but is less stiff on the wave, but can still carve and is in its element in 1-4 ft gutless waves. The Quatro are expensive but well made production boards, super light and great wave boards for all, pro to weekend warrior like my self.
Ive ordered a 92 pyramid to add to my quiver to try, hopefully here in the next mth
Im a big fan of the Quatro / Ezzy combination. cheers ??
Was joking in my last 'review'. I do have Quatro Cube 95 2017. Good board. Actually thinking to add single fin option to it. Pretty simple job. Then I will be able to use it as single, quad, twin or thruster. I used it as a twin more than quad though. Maybe need to test it more as a quad. One day need to take my Dyno 85 and Cube 95 and test head to head.. Wonder if they start plaining in same wind, compare jumping, turning and general playfulness.. :)
