So Serverne OD 9.4, Starboard Ultrasonic and a true Ames Santa Barbra weed fin 58cm. What do you think would be be considered fast for this setup? I was out a couple of days back and on choppy water was doing around 50kph which felt pretty quick so I was wondering how much more more it had left. I know fear was holding it back a bit but I didn't fancy f##king up when no one else was around to rescue me.

Basically 27kt. That has to be pretty close to the limit with that freakin' KEEL underwater. I've pushed a similar board - 95cm Tillo Convertible - up to 28kt but that was with a very fast MUF Delta underneath and an 8.6 sail. I bet with a smaller fin you could squeeze the setup close to 30kt (55.5kph) for a few seconds but it would be really scary even on dead flat water. At some point any normal weed fin would just snap off. The Delta doesn't twist so the strength of the box would be the limiting factor, along with the parasitic drag of the sail.

It's not my favourite fin by a lot, normally I would have a drake 54cm race fin in it for those conditions but the weed this year is really bad.
the drake definitely generates more lift but I think I'm actually slower with it as it gets impossible to hold down at speed.
nothing more fun than blasting around on the big kit, when nicely powered up.
