It looks like there's a reef underneath the sandbar.
Looks like they are literally sailing the channel, roughly 100m down wind of the reef break. Fat like me and jumpy at best. Cocko and I sailed the channel reef last night and my fin would suggest it's more than a sand bar ??
Each to their own but seems they drove 1.5hrs past Robe looking for Robe conditions. Main difference would be a lagoon to crank a bit of speed before the ramps.
When you get 4 or 5 bottom and top turns at Robe not in a day but per wave Ian make sure you film it coz I dont believe you
