First One to land their first forward gets a carton.
Someone has to see it. Feet must stay in straps, doesn't matter how wet.
Go nuts.
James, well... your beer is safe at this stage mate. Below is a video of my back slammers with a few of Will's moves thrown in as well. I felt I was progressing last week, but not today. To quote an old Honda safety ad: "stupid hurts"
You seem to be unwilling to commit to it. You might be saying you want to do a forward, now you have to really mean it.
Good effort Jay!
I'll come out a Semaphore if I manage get some time off work.
To save hurting your self you can carve downwind first and do a wymeru(spelling??) This helps improve your timing and the slaps are much softer. Also, front hand by the lines, back by the clip even before you get to the ramp while learning.
Keep the footage coming.
Most of those in the vid were wymerus (attempted) and couple of forward attempts. Thanks everybody for the tips
I'm closing in Joe.. albeit a bit sore. Better get your **** in the one heap and start progressing, or I might beat you to the carton
Well, that's it for me. I was on long service leave for 2 months, then a few weeks xmas break. Now I pay for it. I'll am going to be away interstate working for a while. My job won't be finished until Mid-April. I'll be back a couple of weekends in Feb. With this ****ty season, what's the chances of it being windy the days I'm back in Adelaide ???, SFA. So, this goal is going to have be picked back up next season. Early in the month, I managed to land tail first, and I was very stoked about that, but just haven't even got close to doing it again . In fact, I seem to be getting worse and I'm injuring myself more. Pretty frustrating.
Will from Strath was getting his forwards in the windiest seabreeze day at Sems yesterday. So well done mate. I didn't see him sailing out of any, but he is getting close.
Stuck in Sydney at the moment. My summer season is a good as ****ed now. Any good port tack spots in winter that are windy for more than 30min ? Congrats to Will for nailing the forward loop at Haven last week
