Hi All,
Recently borrowed some really old gear and remembered why I used to sail so much as a kid. Passion reignited.
I'm after some secondhand gear but been out of it so long I'm not familiar with newer stuff so it's a bit of a mine field...
I'm 100kg, can water start, always loved straight line speed flat water blasting / slalom, main spot will be Port Vincent (live in Adelaide but moving over there in a few years) which is flat'ish to choppy, love to be able to get going in 15knts (even 12?)
Would be great to be able to come out and see what it's all about these days, get some advice
Cheers,
Al
I've got a bunch of stuff i'm thinking of selling.Boards:
92L JP Thruster
82L JP RWW Single
118L JP Super Sport Gold Edition (needs repair on the nose)
Sails:
KA Killer 4.2m & 4.7m
Avanti M1 Race 7.7m & 6.1m (Matching 100% Carbon SDM masts)
Booms:
Severne Metal 150cm - 200cm
MCT Aluminum 150cm - 200cm
Aeron V grip 160cm - 210cm
Maui Sails Carbon Race - 200cm -250cm
Masts:
Chinook 400cm 60% carbon
(Something??) 430cm 50% carbon (hardly used as it doesn't match my sail range)
A selling tip with the Aeron V grip: Put it on the drive way. Then reverse over it. Then drive over it. Then reverse etc. Repeat a several times. Then hacksaw the remains up and throw it in the bin so that it never ends up in the hands of an unsuspecting beginner or intermediate sailor. It's a bad evolution that should never have got to the manufacturing phase.
Thanks All,
I'm all sorted for now thanks, given a great deal on a job lot of decent gear by a genuinely nice bloke, thanks Pete!
Just waiting for it to blow now.
There is a small crew at Stansbury if you want to sail with somebody. When it's 25 SE'erly in summer, you'll typically get 5-8 sailors there. They are a great bunch
