Hi all, I'm utterly new to this scene, and have been trying to get a secondhand board. I got an old Ten Cate Runner board given to me, but it had no mast base or boge or extension - and I found a fella via Gumtree on Mornington Peninsula who had the parts. You might all know him already - Russ. He talked on the phone about things for more than an hour about the options etc, and a few days later he was all ready to send it, when the board split the first time I tossed it in the pool! So I had to get another one; I sent him pics and he advised me well; I would have made a couple of serious mistakes if not for his advice. I picked up an old Tyronsea for $30, and he went back to his workshop to find parts, etc - all the while giving me good tips on how to transfer the fin across from the broken one, repair the hull, etc.... then he spent a few hours soaking stuff to get it off old parts and filing things - all for no extra charge from the first order - and sent me the stuff. Such amazing help for someone who has no idea whatsoever..!! Thanks, Russ!!
