Relic Rob and I going to tackle Marion front beach could be getting big who knows will head down there midday so we play it safe and sail on incoming tide.
Marion lagoon will be good for flat water blast
Dorans also should be ok offshore flat water.
Plenty for everyone the rain has stopped the winds picked up and it's forecast a balmy 14degrees
A few speedsters out on Marion lagoon today and 5 out on main beach.
swell wasn't as big as expected, wind was consistent 4.7m, swung more to the east so we're hitting head high sets head on making for some pretty nice jumps.
One of the better Marion sessions.......oops sorry wasn't meant to say that.
I reckon that spot is better with more swell when the sets came through some over head high the water is smooth, in between the sets it was a bit choppy.
Relic me and the 2robs heading up the east coast tomorrow for a look, if the swell doesn't come through we'll head back to Marion.
What time are you going Ant ?
If it's big enough were meeting Windcranker at Sorell 9am
Rob me and relic heading up to Bicheno just for a look then maybe come back to kelvedon or hermitage somewhere with small swell or maybe Marion lagoon and poke nose over dunes to check the surf
Tim says Cremorne lining up well over the bar and 4.2 weather.
Wind willy saying 30 knots at 10 am!!
Marion bay today swell not as big as expected hard to tell how big those waves are from shore but maybe around mast high...................could have actually sailed on the inside if you had the guts...........but we didn't...............have the guts
Think it would have been a nightmare to try and sail in that Ant - I took the easy option and sailed at Cliffy at 9.30am this morning - rigged 5.3, lasted 10 minutes and changed to 4.7 but at times 4.2 would have been better - nothing classic but nice to get back in the water .
