How about we post some encouragement and positive experiences from our kids on-water activities?

I'll start it with some pics and video of my daughter last weekend at Pipeclay Lagoon. It wasn't ideal conditions being a bit cold and windy but she was determined to get out for her first sail of the season! After a good short sail we discarded the sail and did some paddle-boarding together - lots of fun. Chose a good onshore location, lots of warm gear to wear, and some fish and chips takeaway on the way home in the car for a good time. Now she is asking for a few more kids to join in!

Next Gen had a god session In the sun despite a "Dummy Spit"; "Cos the wind wasn't strong enough! I want to plane" Under 15kn doesn't cut it anymore.
Anyone who has some kids who want to join in PM so we can organise. More the better.

Good thinking Relic, but don't look at me. Cookie and Gil have a swag who have been brought up at the beach seeing it all going on.

Actually, Houston has a mental age of four...

Perfect kids sailing weather at Lagoon this afternoon and a milestone day with Sienna hooking into her harness for the first time.

Great photos Gillian. Shows how much fun it can be in non-planing conditions. Sienna will be onto carve gybes before you know it.

Great day for a kids' Session in The South. Max (imum) will be at the pond if others want to join him or check it out.

Max achieved his harness milestone today. Although I'm uncertain he understands hands are still required!

Here comes the competition!

All you old fuddy-duddies had better get your respective acts together...and Max had better brace for the inevitable over the handle bars...

Was watching Max today and he is now looking quite a competent pond seabreeze sailor, sailing in the main channel with everyone else, displaying a good set of board and sail skills and avoiding obstacles (including the ones with lines and kites attached ) - good stuff, it's amazing how far he has progressed since last summer. Cholada also had a fun time sailing unaided and with her novice friend hitching a ride on the front of the board for most of the session. Great to see them out having fun on the water.

In the future, will try and post a bit more ahead of time when the kids are going sailing. The kids would welcome others coming and sharing the good times with them, even if just playing around on shore and in the shallows or in starting out as young budding sailors.

Already gone over the handlebars twice giggling all the way till impact! He tried the Kaos 3.7 but found it too heavy. Once he grows a bit more and not uphauling it will be perfect.

We had an awesome couple of days using the new 1.0m Ezzy kids rig on the old one design board. My 6yr old daughter is desperate to get back out there when the wind is kind. Looking forward to sailing together in the near future!!

More kid action up north yesterday with 6 kids on the water, plus a couple of big kids, having a great sail in the 20 knot breeze.
