Is the spot marked "x" the launch spot on a SW at flinders?

Do you head out between the rocks on this line ?

Sorry the image is rotated.

Beautiful spot Flinders. Didn't know people sailed there.

I've only sailed here a few times. Head out through the channels taking care not to hit the reef (!) Umm or go out when other are there and watch them.

I'm utterley rubbish as a wave sailor, but sailing big left on a strong south easterly seabreeze was a beautiful experience - really gentle over the reef, though it changes with the tide. On that occasion I and others launched from the channel nearest the westernmost end of the car park. On another occasion (must have been a SW) I sailed the first half of your yellow line just as a flat water reach/slalom. My impression is that big left is the best and most talked about break (but I am no expert).

Best to go at low tide as the reef tends to block off the bounce of the secondary nuisance swell caused by the wind.
