Basically we need wind...remember that stuff? We have 1st & 2nd of April registered also , but current forecast looks unlikely for that 1st weekend of April.
It's all low key , but a great turn out would be awesome, who knows it might even become a regular feature on the wave sailing calendar going forward.
Well done setting this up! Wishing for good breeze and lots of sailors. I'll be up north dammit. Maybe next year. Great to see a very worthy cause supported

Well the forecast is about as good as it gets for the East Coast of Oz with 15-25 knots S-SE'r and 2-4ft for the next week! So if you are feeling like a road trip to northern NSW or SE Qld for the long weekend it's on anywhere north of Woolgoolga!
For the event we will run this Saturday 22 April with registration at 9am aiming for a start at 10am with high tide at 9:10am and low tide 3:20pm. Any early risers feel free to come down and give a hand setting up or go for a surf, surf SUP or free sail.
For this first event it will be very social with the emphasis on having fun just getting a bunch of sailors together to celebrate the lives of our good mates John and Matt, with a BBQ back at Sunshine Coast Boardsports late afternoon.
As we hope to have a few more sailors than usual, the plan is to run an expression sessions for the different divisions depending conditions and how many people register and ages/gender. So a 30-45min session of free sailing with sailors to be judged on best 2 waves and 1 jump if conditions are good for jumping with 2 sailors selected to go through to a 4 person final for their division. The winners get bragging rights with prizes in the form of gear or in store vouchers for all registered competitors.
The divisions are as follows:
Expression Session 1:Wing Foilng - Open Womens / Mens
Expression Session 2: Windsurfing Juniors (under 21yrs) Girls/Boys
Expression Session 3: Windsurfing -Masters (over 45yrs)Womens / Mens +Grandmasters (over 55yrs) Womens / Mens
Expression Session 4: Windsurfing -Open Womens / Mens
20min Final for each division

Tim
