Only just over a week to go for the first event in the NSWWA calendar sponsored by Surf FX, with the long range forecast showing northerly seabreeze for Saturday with a big southerly change for Sunday/Monday .
This event is very low key with expression sessions for all divisions and the best 4 sailors from each division going into a final but enough prizes for all registered sailors thanks to Surf FX and North Windsurfing.
There will be room to crash at the team house or park up your van with plenty of social activities planned. Any queries please reply or dm us.
You can register for the event or the season here:

Awesome long weekend action, always fun and a great social gathering.
If you in the area or want a weekend away, surf/sup/wave sailing, get a social membership through the wave sailing website and come and join in !!, count down is on!!
Not too late to head north for the long weekend if you want to score some fun waves and wind at one of the best breaks on the east coast. The forecast is looking solid and the local crew have been scoring already with the banks on the south side of Flat Top in great shape for some dtl waveriding
Some small (waist to chest high) but fun waves yesterday and about 15-18 knots wind saw most sailors get out for a free sail.
Briefing is 12noon at Hearnes Lake Beach. Please register and pay on line beforehand at nswwavesailing.org/product/woopi-classic-entry/
Cheers

NSWA great weekend guys!
Great few days sailing and catch up over beers
To all the volunteers that help run the event hats off to you all, fantastic job!!
Well Woopi delivered again for the Surf FX Wave Classic the first event of the season with a mixture of conditions to suit all 33 competitors and 4 social sailors including Will Barnett still getting amongst it at 73!! After initial briefing for the event we ran with 2ea 45min expression sessions for Day 1 in lighter conditions but waist to head high waves and plenty of freesailing before and after. Day 2 the northerly seebreeze kicked early and we ran with one 2-1/2hr exprsssion session in 15-25knots and waist high waves. It was fantastic to see so many sailors on the water and the level was very high across all divisions with the Master and Opens finals delivering non stop action.
In the Opens the now local ripper Brett Goodwin (Red Jersey -WhiteSeverne) took the win over Logan Hagiston (Yellow Jersey-North) , Michael 'George' Westra (Pink - Red Severne) and Zac Coleman( Blue Jersey - Yellow Hot Sails Maui)Brett took almost maximum jumping points with stylish back loop and a dry forward, Logan's tweaked push loop was the highest jump of the final but couldn't manage to back it up with solid second jump, George's forwards where on point and Zac also pushed hard but couldn't find a good ramp to get a higher scoring second jump. Wave scores were exceptionally close with all sailors throwing buckets and the odd aerial despite the dropping swell.
