..with the intent to hit me or headbutt me, with pushing his board into me, I say get life. And professional help.
To recap. I was IN ws area, barely moving, when YOU rocketed into me coming IN with great speed and the intent to hit me with your board. I was only 3-4m from the footpath, fighting to control my kite. There was no one else around. Not a soul.
Screaming that I should not be here because this is exclusively ws area. Mate, there are a few of your buddies (N. and crew), who rig and launch on the kiting area ALL the time, and exclusively ride there. And I have a good relationship with them, not one kiter complained. It is deserted for God's sake. Just like it was today.
Who do you think you are to launch a brutal attack with such force on me when I'm holding the kite in the air? And one wrong move can loop the kite and end up in the fatality that near to concrete wall. Never in my 12 years of kiting at Peli have I experienced such aggression.
I don't know what sparked you, but man I would suggest you to seek professional help.
And btw, it was me, together with your fellow windsurfer Nic and his partner, who launched a petition to revert the CPP paying fees @Peli at 2018. That was supported by Windsurfing WA president Tim Brazier at the time. We won. CPP reverted the decision. Hence, all of us can enjoy free parking after 5pm and no fees over the weekend. It was the fellow kiter Bas who got the TV crew and The West Australian on the site. It was not you. Because we were there.
So please tell us, who are you? What did you do to make PeliPt accessible for all?
I rest my case, have no desire to discuss further.
Thanks for reading.
Wasn't me, but as a side, I returned to windsurfing PP for the first time about a month ago after a 30 year hiatus. I didn't know there was a windsurfing area and a kite area, can someone fill me in please? I must admit I just rolled up, rigged up and sailed and didn't read any signs if there .

Its an unwritten thing. There are no signs that indicate strictly kiters here/windsurfers there. It works well to keep the harmony, if its observed (kites to the east/windsurfers to the west, of the car park and out sailing if youre going to mow the grass along the point) Of course, it doesn't really work at all on a southerly/south easterly (its a sou westerly thing). The best plan in a southerly/south easterly breeze is to clear out away from the launch areas as soon as you can efficiently do it, be you a windsurfer or kiter.
And keep in mind that there will be folks of all persuasions coming in and out from the beach, with no option but to sail through what would normally be frowned upon.
I wasn't there, so i'll leave it at that. All i can say is aggro/provocation on the water will get you no joy. Much better to have a calm discussion about it.

Thanks, the one time I sailed there with a couple of mates this year we rigged on the east, kiters were all cool. I did notice that the windsurfers were rigging the other side but thought nothing of it. Now I know.

Most kiters are pretty friendly at peli

I think you answered your own question "And one wrong move can loop the kite and end up in a fatality that near the concrete wall"
Some other observations - there were other people there, myself included, windsurfers do come flying into the boat ramp/launching area. If you have been sailing there for 10 years you would know this.....plus the fact that it is an unwritten rule that kiters and WS should stay separate. I have no interest in dealing with your and I quote "fighting to control my kite" experience in the middle of the launch area, with your 30 metres of lines ready to decapitate, not only windsurfers, but anyone using the path which is what you were right next to with your by own admission, an out of control kite !!!!!!
You are aware are you not that a kiter has been lifted into the car park, landed on someone and broken their leg......
I was only 3-4m from the footpath, fighting to control my kite.
Your problem is right there. Does it warrant aggression? No. Does it warrant for you to have a hard look at your own judgement of conditions. Absolutely.

On approximately 2nd March 2019, YOU witnessed the very unfortunate incident when the Asian tourist was badly injured by an out of control kiter. Her injuries apparently included a broken leg. YOU were also part of the group who decided not to immediately call her an ambulance, and now YOU are admitting that you are flying an out of control kite within metres of that very same location? And you are wondering why someone may have confronted you over this?
BTW, thank you for helping with the parking. Now lets work on not maiming each other.... or the public.
Dunno the truth here.. but lining someone up is never on. Just have a word.
Reminding me though about the kiters who just decided the rules don't apply - despite the signage - and started mowing the lawn at the southern end of Coro this season. Bloody TT's boosting all over the inside gybe area and in front of a kid's WS school for god's sake.
I'll start a polite educational thread at the start of next season and no doubt have to put up with a sh!tload of abuse from people 3000km away....
Don't get the issue around not calling the ambulance.
The patient ended up in hospital , just not being charged an arm and leg to get there.
I would not want the ambulance for myself. It's a ripoff - and should be free for all people - like an ER department.
And BTW, one is likely to die of old age while waiting for one.
And regarding kiting and Windsurfing areas, these are mostly well respected.
People mix up occasionally, and that's fine, except for jumping when other sailors are around. It's plain dangerous.
Most people are OK. It's always a few individuals, or tourists, who are not aware of the local rules.

Yep. I was recently waiting to check in at the airport and overhead some guy from Zephyr Kite Tours boasting about the fact he deliberately kites in there and antagonizes the windsurfers Good luck with your education, but remember to use small words and big pictures.
