Hi guys,
I've been on an 88 liter Armstrong FG Wing-Sup board for the last couple of years. Thinking of upgrading to a narrower board with less volume potentially 70 or 80 liters. I've heard good things about about Appletree however I'm not sure about starboard. Any suggestions here? Thank you!

What's your weight? What type of riding do you like to do / hope to do?
What foil/wing size do you need to ride to get up in 15 knts?
I'm 80kg. Enjoy riding waves. Currently using Armstrong MA 1225 and MA 1475 with mainly using a 5 meter wing. Thanks
The Slice v3 is a phenomenal board and I'm happy to address any questions on it. Ive had the v1, v2, v3 and a custom and Im a big believer in the Appletree construction (and design on the Slice boards).
Maybe not xps core or exposed carbon if you live somewhere really warm
Army is top notch though. why go away from them if you're familiar too
Appletree is very popular and proven in the Gorge. I don't think I've ever seen a Starboard other than underfoot of a sponsored rider.
I meant hot places
I put a carbon board in the sun and it's impossible to handle
tons of Starboard here as much of their stuff was designed here for 20yrs or so
so depends where u live and that's what I was getting towards also - posters need to tell us where they live
The Gorge gets pretty hot (+30c) most summer days.
In my experience Starboard's light construction is not super durable.

Here is 40C inside
car is 70
As I said depends where as what works in Europe is continually failing here - not a shot at appletree, just general comments
agree about starboard. Their SUP stuff is brilliant but as they focussed there they became shoddy on windsurf. So now it's winging it gets more complex with different construction
They also tend to be very experimental so their light stuff can be fragile and u never know from one year to the next. JP similar issues
But with their tried n true normal sandwich stuff it's very good.

I have no complaints about my Armstrong ML. Can't think of a thing I would change.
The Appletree can be ordered with a custom colour (eg. white).
I would definitely do that!! It doesn't need to be very warm outside to burn yourself with your board while walking to the water.yes I know what I'm talking about! ??
I did not tried starboard lately, but from my lazyboy, with a laptop on my laps..the shapes look strange. Not saying it doesn't work.
