Melbourne or Sydney for wavefoiling/downwinders

Relocating for work and got the option of Melbourne or Sydney, is one better than the other for wingfoiling waves/DW or not much in it? Melbourne looks like it has a pretty cool foil scene but a mate reckoned he'd heard that northern Sydney is the place to be.

I would say Melbourne wins if you like more DW conditions with strong winds in the safety of a bay with lined up runners..

But if the open ocean is more what you like with the mix of ground swell/ wind swell then Sydney might be your better choice.. btw Melbourne still has plenty of surf spots close for surfing options with Torquay and Phillip island about an hour away.
