I was going to buy some other sizes in the Flux v1, but was told to wait for the v2 which is coming in May. Supposedly the same shape as the Flux, with the longer front handle and the firmer luff handle from the Flow. While those improvements will be nice, the same source told me its a "massive performance increase" which has me scratching my head since these things don't really add up to that big of a deal. Total conjecture, but could that mean Aluula? Ozone is using Aluula in their newest kites and it would also distinguish the Flux from the Flow a bit more.
Anybody know anything and care to spill some beans? Has anyone seen Aluula Ozone wings being tested?
Interesting, I was going to swap my 4.3m for a same size flow (I also have 5.7 and 3.6) but think I'll wait and see. I love the flux having previously been on f one for years. Be interesting to see V2.
Mike
Nothing yet, but I'm holding out. Was hoping to see a release or proto this past weekend at Defi, where Ozone had a big presence, but haven't seen anything like that yet. The original information that its coming in May came from Ozone.
I,m lurking for a 3.6, but having the 5.0+4.3 I wonder how much they can improve over the V1.
Just freeriding and waveriding I don,t need the longer handle (I think).

If I remember correctly, I think Axel Mazella won the Defi on the Ozone Fly last year. Just think how fast he would have been if on the Flux. Maybe he will be on something new!? Maybe Fusion?

Firmer luff handle would definitely be an improvement. Even 2.5" longer front handle would balance it more for one handed riding. I don't have many other complaints though.
No news on the Flux v2, but it looks like there is a new lightwind wing called the Lite Force coming too.
Looks like it has the 125g performance dacro for the leading edge and strut. Not sure if the front handle is longer
For what its worth, the Flow is conventional material canopy (55g triple ripstop) and frame. It is not the lighter Ultra X Dacron frame and stiffer canopy panels used on the Flux. I would expect the Lite Force is the same materials as the Flow.
As an update - a retailer just told me he heard November release for the Flux v2. Something is coming, but getting the sense that the May info from Ozone was not accurate.

bummer. I may refresh my existing ones for summer season here in that case.
Still no Flux V2? Love the balance and easiness of the Flow, but the speed, upwind and highwind abilities of the Flux did also impress me. A new one with longer fronthandle might be very interesting.
I saw a video of Johnnie with a wing that looked like Dynema and radial type cloths that I assume are Flux2
Ken and jonny are often on the dynamo wing by five o windsports, that's the full dynema wing. no pictures of the flux 2 yet. Very curious about it.
That is definitely the Ozone Proto, not the Dynamo. Very clear pics of Ken Adgate riding it too and he has confirmed its Ozone. The handles, windows, shape and paneling are clearly Ozone. Looks sick, and makes sense that they are more clearly differentiating it from the Flow.
Looks like still no Aluula, but Penta x Fronttube. Maybe smaller diameter? Definitely a Flux, from Panels and window similar to the current.

Frame appears to be the same Dyneema material that PPC uses on the m1, which also might be what SAB and Dynamo are using. It has the same shinyness as thonse. I didn't think that was the same as Penta X, but maybe I'm wrong.
Hard to tell what the canopy is made of. The panel layout is identical to the Flux v1.
news photos from Ken Agdate, with the new flux. One with Allula on leading edge and strut. On his instagram
Wow. Looks like they are still prototyping quite a few designs. Hard to tell, but that Aluula wing might have a hard luff handle. I wouldn't have guessed it was Ozone, but on closer inspection the handles are definitely the same.
I bet it will be great. I suspect Dyneema. I could not pass up a great deal locally on the the new PPC, so I stopped waiting.
no you?re not - Penta TX is a refined Dacron material of less weight (125gr/sqm), developed by the prior Northsails/Duotone designer Ralph Gr?sel together with Challenge Sailcloth, manufacturer also of Ho?okipa. But no tensile strength properties comparable to Dyneema and a matte surface.
