Very sad to hear this news. I loved his entries in "what did you do to your boat today"and how he would rotate others photos correctly then say "We cant have a nice job like this one side ways"
a comment would ruin the sentiment, but I knew it was coming and must have had happened.
We too had contact with HG, as another Walker H28 is back in the family. Haydn gave us a set of sails, who would do that today.
RIP to a good man
I'm another who had contact withHG via pm's. A lovely guy and a terrible loss. He's done it hard at times so I'm sure he's at peace .
ps. In memory of him I wish I knew how to post a pic upside down!!

Beautiful sentiment, love it. Rest in peace HG.
I had the pleasure of speaking with HG on one occasion, sad to hear of his passing.
I enjoyed his posts
RIP Hayden
Rather than sunset which leads to darkness here is a sunrise which gives light and hope.
I hadn't heard from Haydn for 12 months or so,
he was always happy to talk and listen.
His encouragement and friendship shall not be forgotten.
Sad news.
Haydn was keen on some insulation and I offered to send it to him as the place in warriewood wouldn't ship. We talked a lot on the phone about this and I was ready to do it but then he stopped calling about it. I started to wonder about him, especially after he posted a "novel" about his life on sea breeze, only to delete it within 5 minutes.
I read the whole thing and it concerned me.
I've realised after losing a few friends here and there to suicide recently, that mental health is a huge issue that has a stigma. We seem to shy away from people with "mental" problems.
Always better to check in on these people and I'm kicking myself I didn't with HG.
A kind word, or better, an ear to let someone in need know that someone cares. It could make a difference. A little love goes a long way and it spreads x
RIP Haydn. May you he at peace. X

Steve,
Are you saying that Hadyn took his life? I wasn't aware of this. If this is true this is even way sadder. If this is true that will be 2 of my friends from here lost this way.
I agree with you so much about chidcking in on peop;e and being a listening ear. You never know when you may save a life.
It can be a lonely world.

I believe he passed due to lung cancer although not confirmed.
