Yeeewww James!!!
Oskar, Edo then James coming into the bay/finish.
All came off foil but James hung close to the cliff got a wave and foiled right past Edo then Oscar.
Must have been heartbreaking for Oscar, so close, top effort.
Congrats James and also Marcus, Ben and Dan.
Bunch of Aussie foil frothers take on and beat the big guns of the foil world.

What an amazing debut for Code foils placing or winning in every event. Not a bad effort for a brand new brand with no sponsored riders just owners on them.
Gnarly finish - Oscar looked like he had it wrapped up. Was watching the Green Dots and it looked like Kai and KD battled to get on foil - KD's dot didn't get up to foiling speed until 10min after start and Kai also lost a lot of Dot-time at the start - but not sure how accurate those Dot(up)-dates were?

Apparently KD got caught in the boat wash as the boats raced out to their riders and couldn't get on foil at start - they used to have a rule whereby boats were not allowed to join riders until 30(?)min after start - maybe not anymore?
I wonder what foil oscar was using ?
Kai was on a Axis. I guess the Phantom he was using wasn't good for those tricky conditions.
Looks like it wasn't super windy.

Several guys switched to AXIS for this race. I think Edo coming in first unofficially in Paddle Imua was the clincher. Kai was on something the 901 size range. Sounded like he used the smaller phantom for M2M, didn't have enough low end for the pump to the finish. Then he was on the larger size for Paddle Imua and it didn't get the job done. So AXIS for M2O. There is a clip of the start line on ocean paddler tv facebook page. Kai get's up right away. Edo didn't get up right away and he had to battle back. But from the middle of the race on, he was up in that front group of James, Oskar, Andrew and Edo.

I've had the flu recently so been came across the channel crossings.
Interesting that I watched James Casey with Kai and that Kai doesn't have a foil sponsor and used the Phantom but went too small.
Guessing with Axis probably an ART 899 but Interested to see what he used

Surely Kai would have used one of the new ART Pro unreleased smaller sizes. That's what Olivia used for
the 285k Portugal distance record. I'm pretty sure Axis would have wanted him on the latest and greatest.
There were several guys with AXIS. Kai and Tom Constant made the switch before the race. Everyone was using the unreleased ART Pro in smaller sizes.
I am so stoked for James Casey, Marcus Tardrew and the Code foils team!!
Their foils have barely hit the market yet and they are out there showing the world how it's done. Even if they had the marketing budget of Coca Cola I don't think there could be a better way to market a new brand. Bloody Legends
