So is the slim kinda just a dud? seems like it has been completely bypassed and everyone is on the Max.

There are use cases for the slim but overall the Max is the way to go. They are both heavy compared to a prone setup. The Max gives you significantly more run time when you need it and has the option of a sport battery to lower the weight. Sport battery gives me 30-45 min of run time and the max power gives me 45-60+min of run time. I believe in the same ride in place conditions I would get about 20min from the slim which is just frustrating as your starting to find your groove at that point.
The slim would make a good dw assist if that's your primary use case. But I'll be honest I usually just take my bigger battery on dw run as the extra weight is not that significant and it's always nice to have extra margin.
The new trenched boards for Dale Chapman , very surprising how well this works . I was very wrong about it .

Battery change?
Battery change?
We have reverse bolts with spun nuts on the top plus the one the trench will be slightly wider to undo the clips in place and there is enough space to slide battery out .
The new super trench so now you can change the battery without moving or removing the mast . Just an up date I just flat water started the Code 600r , 615s & 680r . I was in Currumbin river mouth run out tide . Couldn't get up going with the current but could going against it . No paddling but got a nudge from the tiny pressure swell . Pretty amazing not chance on my original board .
100% right about going down in foil size, and board.
Im now riding the png 1010 and cut down png910 which has helped massively. The
biggest change was going down to a 4'11 prone board and it's so much easier to control.. have just ordered a SF840 as I think the png910 feels a bit big in the surf
Im also starting to wonder if I should look at changing the pmg1010 too but not sure what with. Any suggestions? Not looking for speed, more so control, predictable, turning and glide I guess.

Fireball 1070, the only wing you need.
