I mentioned the "Ono" tail, which doesn't exist. Meant to say "Ahi". Rode the 850 again on the 115L Armstrong board in pretty light air (12 knots gusting higher). Loving how this foil grips in the turn and accelerates like mad to high speeds as soon as you give it any wind or wave power. Nice thing is that it'll ride pretty slowly without stalling as well. Dying to ride it in proper wind and swell on my little board. The rig feels great stock and I haven't felt the need to shim the tail yet. I did order a 1 deg plate shim for high wind winging and will test at some point. Rig likes to sit further back in the foil boxes compared to my Army rig, which should suit my Ginxu better. I haven't jumped the 850 yet but will soon.
What mast are you on?
87cm mast. Rode the Ginxu and 850 yesterday. 27 knots top speed; she's quick. Jumping it felt great.
Yesterday I got to demo Greg's Operator 1050 and 60L from Omen in 12-20 knots. I'm 90 kgs. It felt like a perfectly scaled up 850 and the acceleration onto foil from the board is exceptional; it's actually tough to tell when the board has released as it has a very low friction feel onto foil. Nearly like a DW board in the way it glides. Love the flat deck and narrow width. Pitch stability is excellent and pumping was easy. Really lovely to ride.
Had my first day o
in proper surf a couple days ago. The 1050 is leading the charge of my dreams man. How something could be so easy to use while offering top shelf performance is a bit of voodoo f sure!
I was thinking I need to find a front wing that fits the 1250 category, but somehow I think the 1050 solves it.
More will be revealed.

The 1050 is a great foil. On the wing it's amazing. Prone it works quite well too. I haven't gone back to the 850 since I got the 1050, but that's more due to conditions than anything else. I need to try the 850 out again if we ever get wind and/or waves.
Really glowing review of the Omen 1050/850 from the Foiling Mag. Awesome work, Omen team! I'm loving the 850 rig. Easy to ride and loves to be pushed.
With all the new masts coming out that have different chord lengths and thicknesses and dog legs in them. Having a NoLimitz collab mast that's thin, stiff, straight is amazing. As you go high to low on the mast the drag remains constant. You never hit a thicker or more chord section that slows you down.
