I would be interested in knowing when I would use the 9 by 28 Revolution instead of my 88 by 28 Speeed ? Obviously the Speeed has a lot more rocker ...:..which always saves me
Would love to demo one but it seems no one is bringing them in down south I see they come with (10"ers) 105 sides and 94 centre, tried this on my 10' style, usually have 6.5 or 8' centre with smaller sides cant really tell much difference. What are the pro's/cons of the smaller centre fin in a 10' board???
Hi bomber mate I've ridden a style and this revolution is definitely one up mate in performance buddy it's turns just by thinking and the slightest lean on the rail . It definitely surfs different to the style if you want the true performance of this board don't go wide go a little narrow I'm on a 28 9footer I think after 1 session in chop surf I could definitely go 26.5 wide maybe next one . Tomorrow is session 2
still learning to get the most of this board
Yep , good feedback HappyH.
I'm also a massive fan of the Style. Love it.
Its one of those boards where everything works really well - but these Revolutions have got me frothy as.
Be interested to hear how it goes with the smaller centre. Might try something similar on the Style.
Keep the updates goin man.
Ha! For sure Dave - I Know exactly where you're at with the old accounts department man.
Have just picked up the new 9'4 Creek (which is a weapon) - so I have to be patient now for a bit.
I'm currently runnin 105 sides and a 7" True Ames centre on the Style and find it has loosened it up heaps - and kept good drive.
I am going to drop the centre down to a 6" and see how that goes.
Apologies for the hijack fellas!
Up the Revolution!
Hi, I will report back when mine arrives. think it might be february ordered it a month ago. The 9ft 115litre revolution but it has to come to NZ. I have a few known boards I can compare it to. I have the 9ft stylemaster and the 8/8 prowave that was red with the orange bottom. That thing is an awesome alrounder and I leave the two outside fins standard and run a medium sized stabiliser in the middle. Loosens it up quite a bit but still enough fin length on the outside two to complete big turns if you lean hard enough
Hi
Any more reports on the Revolution would be appreciated greatly. I need to make a decision soon to get the board on the spring shipment to west coast Canada.
Cheers
Bob
I have the 10 x 30.5. At 6"4 tall and 100kg the board is incredible, stable and surfs amazing, easy turns and glides onto every wave. Highly recommend.

I am looking for a board that I will "age into gracefully". At 70 kg and approaching 66 years the time for charging overhead waves may be waning over the next few years. I suspect that the 9' x 30" revolution may be a good compliment to my 8'10" Speeed and 8'7" Creek. About 9' in length is the limit of trailering my board to the breaks behind my bicycle with the setup I am using.
Cheers

Hey all , anybody got some reports now since we've had summer slop ? I'm interested in a revolution for catching marginal waves , I'm 5'11 86 kg most times, intermediate surfer currently on a speed 8'10 , luv my speed but find it needs a bit more juice than sometimes what's on offer.
??
Hi ricko,
The Speeed will catch and perform well on marginal waves. I have owned the 7'11" and the 8'5". It is a great board and very versatile. You can move around on it and nose ride, plus surf off the tail.
The Revolution is a performance longboard. I have one and am very happy with it. It nose rides and carves hard and is fun.
Talk to the people in North Freo store and you may be able to demo???
I keep coming back to these boards. I currently have an 8'8 flow V2 and at 126lt find it fine for balance, and a 10'XL style. Im looking to fill the gap!!! Iam keen to go the 9' version of the revolution but remember a video with James saying that you should go 15lt more than you are normally comfortable on with his 9" revolution boards. That would mean 140+ lt for me???
Im 96+ KG and not likely to lose much at the moment ...mmm I love beers... any feedback would be greatly appreciated as the stockists either dont have any stock and/or much useful feedback.
The 9x30 is 128lt and the 9x32 is 138lt, concerned the 30' may be hard work and the 32' too wide????
Cheers fellas , yer the speed does perform pretty well in most situations ,it bloody charges in solid waves .
I went and saw Marcus had a chat about the revolution , nice boards .
hahaha I ended up taking home a 8"7 Placid ????????
beer good
Took a 9 x 28 this morning in some decent swell. Man these boards are stable its like standing on a pontoon. They are super easy to paddle and catch waves but the big nose makes it hard to paddle for a wave when the wind is straight off shore.
The board was super easy to do some carvy turns and maintains speed really well. It also holds onto the face alot better than my hipster does. I didn't slide out at all where as my hipster would constantly lose grip. The revolution feels massive on a late drop though **** myself a few times but made most late drops I went for.
All in all its a super fun board just feels weird with such a large nose. Though I usually ride an 8x29 hipster/flow so I guess its an adjustment thing. It would be a cracker board for the slow fat waves on the points. Which is what I was looking for.
Custom 11ft Revolution with large quobba thrusters, love the thin rails and turning off the tail and middle.
Just pulled the trigger on a 9/30 and was wondering what fins people are running apart from the stock Sunova ones, is the centre FCS box a limiting factor ?
Stock fins are great. I have 9 x 30 and the fcs setup is fine. I think you will be very happy with your decision.
I have mr fins, quobbas etc but havent used them yet.
