You're location looks too nice for us UK types to comprehend. Can you take some photos of brown seas, grey clouds and 20knts please, i think we'll all be happy then.
"My" location is 7 hours drive from where I live in Melbourne.
I can give you brown seas, grey skies and 20 knots on Monday when I get home.
Yeah Nozza! How about you send it all up to Sydney, including the windsurf rig, for me to have a go of that too?
How would the Search 12 do for a 150 pounder on flat water? I'd love to get one!
I'd say it would be pretty much perfect. I am pushing 200 pounds and must admit to stretching the buoyancy limits at times in flat water.

Maybe not Sydney but I can book you in for Scotts Head in June.
Did you pick my "invisible" shatter repair?

Woooo - is the Nozza going to Scotts?
Yes, I did pick the fantastic repair job. Well done. Just like new.

Nozza and The Nozza will be at Scotts.
Helmy and The Creek too.
Hugo and his Lime Splice.
Maybe even Captain Danno.
Hopefully a few others.......

I mean weighing 210 pounds, I thought I was a bit heavy for the board. Fine surfing or windsurfing, but in displacement mode sinking a bit.
I was wrong though - see photo later on.
If you weigh 150 lbs. it would be great.
Post "action day" wash on the bin.
Next day the Nozza's body (the person Nozza, not the board Nozza) didn't feel up to much.
Flat water explore.
Not even enough breeze for a windsup.
Poked around the inlet.
Warm, sunny, glorious.
Spirit4earth, this is what I was talking about.
With 210 lbs. of Nozza on The Nozza, this is how it floats.
Still plenty of freeboard, buy I initially found the occasional water around the feet a bit alarming.
I'm used to 6" thick SIC boards.
But in chop it seems to reduce "corkiness" and add stability.
Dawdled around, harassed pelicans.....
Almost in the middle of town, but how's the serenity?

Meant to get back to you sooner SB.
Back home 4 days now, here is how the local(s) have looked...
Monday.
Tuesday
Wednesday.
Thursday.
Hence I've been out face planting concrete....
Ha !! Cheers guys, feel much better now
Heres a pic of a nice surf spot on the North East Coast of the UK, Saltburn does chuck up some nice shoulder high 20-30S runs and is popular with proners too... I have family up this way so always bring a board, the Flow works well here...
Pic from Tuesday:
Is that Half Moon Bay?
I grew up around the corner in Beauy
I have fond memories of running in that deep loose sand. Not so the cold water - you're a brave man Nozza
Yep, Half Moon Bay the main local, or out from Beaui near Table Rock.
Water temperature in the northern Bay a shade over 13 degrees at the moment, not that I plan on spending a lot of time in it.
Cold and wild at Half Moon Bay this morning.
Looks a lot nicer there than down here at the moment.
Standard weather now seems to be 20 - 30 knots from the north west and 7 - 14 degrees.
Heading to Merimbula with the Nozza is a couple of weeks to try and get some better weather.
Will report in.....
Must be a Search kind of week!
I had a great session on my 14'r a few days ago.... working on a vid.
Soooo much fun!
and of course.... plenty of flat-water use
Quality vid Casso. Can see Nozza dancing to this music on his Sunnoza.
I have seen a good SUSer on the 12 Search recently . Made the board look a lot smaller than 12. Couldn't believe it was a 12. So refined and he was like a ballerina on it. Awesome .
If I had endless cash I'd love a shorter custom Search for my low weight . I reckon at 11'2 version would rip
Never did report in from Merimbula, too much fun being had.
I only checked the thread because I was worried Tardy was getting close to pages, and he hasn't done delivery yet....
More flat water than surf for the weekend, but Nozza still got a good run.
HA. This thread will never die ...
I'm getting a 12 search next year . Because of this thread ... I might rename it .
rhino chaser.... And make it 13 foot because I can't decide between the 12&14
Rumour is that there is another "Nozza" to be ordered in Melbourne.
Although the proposed colour scheme may have it named "The Kermit"...
Belated report from the Nozza's second visit to its' spiritual homeland in Merimbula.
Attendees from NSW and Victoria.
Team shirts for the event.
Handed out with due ceremony to arriving team members....
Surf small and windblown, lots of ventures up the inlet on boards and OC1, even land based surf training.
Finally we headed for the Bar.
Probably tide wrong, small surf, wind chop.
But fun had.
A retreat agreed on.
Helmy informed me this morning 47 days until we are back....
