HI to justaddwater and seabreezers , I had a go on a 8/6 steeze, 9/2 speed with quobba fins and a 8/8 speed in beaut glass knee to shoulder hi waves other day .The steeze had large sunova sides and a 2.5 nubbla in the usa box and went fantastic , in the glass conditions it was ok stable , fell a few times standing /setting up wave but on the wave its self , man it surfs great snappy and also the hi line rail worked great , but a bit slow to paddle to get out there but into the wave easy . The speed , at 8/8 , yes a very good board , easy to catch a wave , condit very stable , and these two ride "similar but different." The 9/2 speed went fantastic and turns great off the tail and catches waves sooo good . I had never rode the steeze /speed before it was a fun session .Next day surf smaller , different spot i rode my 10 ft style with quoabba sides and 9"centre fin .I would find the smaller boards a bit hard to paddle in our normal wind / current /wobble sea conditions we have .
I have ordered a 8/10 Ghost so now i wait

Hi Razors, great read ,this is what's so important about forums IMO,personal experimentation and the ability to put into words we can all understand! And of course get the results you are after! I still have not tried the Quobbas yet as I'm sidelined for a while, but like many am interested in the feedback on the ghost! Again IMO a brilliant concept from a very progressive company, congratulations to all concerned, especially STC,flying the flag for us older surfers,I know for a fact the first shipment into the local distributor has sold out already!!!
