Any good? I always found the neck to be a fickle son of a beach
Eaglehawk usually is a bit random.
But today .. Carlton River .. high tide.
a good pre-comp workout.
only six more sleeps.
Went down during the week and saw random close outs ! Let's hope for offshore roaring .

Yep I'd love to surf epic under the cliff rights at nuuuub's , that peak when it's working is mean't for supping, hmmmmm so much fun.

I think those NW boys and girls will be
down here in force .. have heard they're
all in good form .. and their cousin Kyron
will be tagging along too.
Down South we have one fierce faction
over Lauderdale way who are in training
under their coach Geared4knots. He tells
me he has a few dark horses to bring
to the barrier this year.
Meantime back at the Mecca Bowl the crew
consisting of 2MT, Skeghead, Riverider, China,
Cruisen, Jarryd, Tyler, Leechy and SISterSUP
have been relentlessly dawn paroling,
fine-tuning the skills and toughening up.
ABOVE.. SISterSUP caught in the act at dawn
today on a cheeky little left peeling back into
the corner at Park Beach ..
Time to play the SUPERSTITION card.
Just think of something evil and risky
about the comp and they'll go weak at
the knees and fail to perform.
Spread the word by social media with clout
Sounds like everyone has been working hard and developing their skills!! Can't wait to catch up with y'all and get some waves!!
The weather chart looks good for Saturday...

"Dawn paroling"?

Our parole officer keeps an eye on us while we are out there.

At that size I'd head to remarks, now that, that! Would be an interesting place to have a sup comp. back door some rebounding rights ,that would be interesting hmmmm

Roaring is a real giver .. When it has banks, and
it has now, it holds a sizeable wave and for SUPies
it has deep gutters and rips to hide in.
The beach is about 500m long and when you walk
into the beach you come out in the middle where there is
a rip with a right and left breaking into it. Then
along one end there are high cliffs with a right
that is the main feature when it's working.
There are other banks that work at different tide and
swell heights .. it's open to the south and picks up
a wave before most other sites in the region.
Sounds good!!! Can't wait! I'll he down tomorrow around lunch for a sneaky reccy surf
can you let us know how it looks mate , cant get down till Saturday morning at this stage , have it from a good source roaring beach is a real fun wave , almost as much fun as penguin reef / presso bay , bit of a bugger of a walk in though , almost but not as bad a walk as saint Helens point .busting to see it in real life .
picked up a handful of prizes from beachbeat Ulverstone today ,talking to brent sadly he cant make it down but tells me Beachbeat is the home of the last available DC NSP surf SUP in Australia so has supplied his 8 11 board to GSI as the demo for the comp . Top Bloke and very keen on promoting Stand up paddleboarding.

There's a "creek" that you can paddle on a sup right next to the carpark TassieD & then a 50m walk to the beach
Best of luck to some of Park Beach finest who will be there to take on the north west boys in the surf and Bop

how long is that creek paddle ? , haven't been out in about 2 weeks if the paddle out is too long chances are I will be trashed before the comp starts , are we expecting shoulder high waves ?
Just take the ROARING BEACH Rd. out of Nubeena
until you get to ROARING BEACH.
It's the only beach out that road .. 15 min. drive.
Check it on Google maps .. it shows the creek
to paddle down .. SUPers paradise.
OR dial it up on your GPS
OR buy a Shell road map
YOU would have to be a special type of
person not to find it .. but good luck anyway.
I'll be there from 11 am so just follow the
burn-out marks in the gravel .. when you
get there you'll see the '87 FARELANE COMMAND
VEHICLE, in the car park, quivering with excitement.
Have a great weekend Tassieboys.
sure sounds like 2MT is amped to go.
ET.
Well spotted E T
2MT is my star pupil and
is odds-on favourite to take
out the 65+ division again
this year. Heart attacks aside.
2MT is at roaring as I type, sharing some clean head high waves with a few friendly shortboarders
just follow roaring beach rd for a few Ks and turn left at the shoe collection on the fence
Have been looking at property in/around Nubeena for a sea change One in sight of Roaring Beach. Post pics that will throw me over the top and say F*%k It to this rat race bull****!
Have fun boys!

Tortoise .. first things first.
Very important after a hard day's
mid winter comp to go through recovery.
This is a very strict regime to which I
subject all of my patients.
First a quiet spa to relax and warm up
to core body temp, whilst taking in fluids
and vital electrolytes.
Next is the presentation dinner, taking
in vital SUPstanance, and addition
fluids, whilst viewing endless loops of
pics and videos of the day's action.

Unfortunately no points awarded for that but Kyron and Sam had still scored enough in their 1st 2 rides to take out 1st and second
HIF Be the Influence WINTER SUP CHAMPS....RESULTS.
The Tasmanian SUP Surfing Championships went down in pumping 2 to 5ft left and rights at sunny, offshore Roaring Beach today. The surf was pumping all day with occassional close outs challenging paddlers ability to stay in the take off areas. By days end the guys and girls were fairly warn out after many rounds of bashing back out through the line up to the take off points. There was a great air of enthusiasm and cooperation in the line up with free surfers and the SUP crew for helping to create a great beach set up and carry the gear in and out at the end of the comp.
Many thanks to STAS Head Judge Karl Gol and the great sponsors including the Lufra Hotel/Apartments for hosting the presentations tonight.
Everyone is invited to the Eaglehawk Solstice Nude Swim tomorrow morning prior to the SUP Racing event.
