A fun run of swell Christmas week in San Diego.

That was a nice end of the year bonus!
Makes me want to get out in a good swell!
I like that you includes the "stuck inside" footage... always a fun time
Nice thin crowd as well.... good times

yeah thanks man nice vid.
The in-between wave clips are a nice touch really puts you in the moment. i reckon half the benefits of supping is the time just moseying around on the water enjoying the line-up and scenery. The odd bit of wildlife is a real bonus too!
Including the closeouts puts you in the moment too, woop! haha love it,
And I like the style of showing a real-time run after the slo-mo clips. That works well for some reason.
Cheers!

Thanks supthecreek! It was a really nice year end bonus! Surfed everyday but Christmas which is funny because usually I make it a point to surf Christmas morning but this time I was just too tired. No, I didn't get any 10-15' waves Christmas Eve. Swell peaked during the night and I surfed a spot that was a bit less exposed - probably closer to the 6-8' range. Any nearby spot that can handle 10-15' waves are usually stacked with surfers so I avoid those spots.

I should have recorded my paddle out the day before this video. Took me 25 minutes to get out!

Crazy how the wide-angle flattens everything out. Most of those waves are head-high+. Friend caught this one of me the day before...

I'm glad you enjoyed it, finsup! I'm just messing around but kind of made this with my mother in mind. She's never really seen surfing in person so I like to try show her what it is like (reminiscent of the "What my friends think I do/What my family thinks I do/What I think I do/What I really do" memes ) .

I'm bummed because the day before, I kept turning off my GoPro when I thought I was turning it on. We had tons of dolphins swimming and jumping around that day and I thought I had minutes of footage but didn't catch any of it. aaaargh!
