It's a very fine weed that gathers in large bergs and has no tolerance for the unwary. Not unusual for it to become a floating mass with seagulls standing on top waiting for the days entertainment. It's best to take on with a fin raked @ anything more than 50 degrees.

what is snot weed, ?

Imminent destruction hidden just below the waters surface, can dead stop a 45deg weed fin
Destroyed more sailors than bad curries and warm flat beer

Nice one Grich62. I hope that wasn't a good outing..

Here's one where I left in a few stuff ups. The shamefulness starts at 3.48

Looks great. How long since you've had wind like that up there?

Fast forward to the 30 sec mark;

That's why I wear a helmet.. although I mainly whack myself on the head with the mast when I am standing in the shallows board handling in strong wind and not concentrating

The tape on our sails is nothing compared to what we have on our bodies trying to keep in the waistline

If you cant fix it with duct tape, you haven't used enough Duct tape. Looks like that harness of yours could use some too
