Wow that's fantastic news.
Thanks to the Advisory committee for there decision.
Decrepit I really appreciate your attitude in regards to this change. There was genuine excitement amongst our group when I was speaking to people today.
Thanks so much.
There are 100s of mini motions in Australia now, and there must be a few not being used, it would be good to see some hitting the second hand market to help alleviate the shortage
I have a spare mini and have thought to sell it but have a sour taste from experience trying to order screen model and waiting 18 months and ending up with a refund.... don't want to bother with that process again!
What's required is a good supply of locally made diy units. Surely there is someone retired who could put them together on no wind days

Elmo and I've made them for the Mandurah Mob. Everybody paid for the materials in advance.
Trouble is the fail rate of the ESPs isn't 0, some taking several months.
Some don't hold charge as well as others.
There's no way anybody would want to be saddled with responsibility for the failures.
Anyway, at the moment, I have no spare time.
There is also a diy gps with no screen that writes to sd card. Tbwonder documented how to do it and it is easy, no programming required. I made a very unsofisticated one but it worked

Fair enough
I note in the GPS Team Challenge Home Page that Wind Foiling/ Wing Foiling posts are now officially approved.
Why not each region start up their own Foiling teams so you can compare each other's results without scrolling through each day's post's. Each team would need to state they are a Foil Team e.g., SA Foilers. You could remain in your original team as well and just post results in the appropriate discipline you sailed that day (Fin or Foil).
Just a thought.
This is great news finally I can be included with my wingfoil at the end of the day the social side is just as important as the sailing for myself and I felt detached from it for a while but now I can enjoy both thank you GPSTC for the opportunity
