As Berowne says, we got the most out of a light easterly wind. Great work by the sailors. There was certainly some good skills on display, particularly at the gybe marks.

so what's the difference between formula and slalom racing?
No real difference! The primary aim of the Foil race series is course racing (and marathon). We are discovering that racing is doable in light winds in a slalom type configuration when course racing is not really possible (due the lack of ability to make ground upwind). Beats sitting on the shore!
I reckon that foiling in the Slalom series will be conducted when the wind is stronger?
Woops! - thanks to Roger pointing out an error in the season's results shown above I rescored the series and found that 3rd place was in fact won by Berowne from Niall. Both finished on equal points but Berowne had a better (higher) second drop, so finished in front of Niall.
