Very weird day yesterday Brad, I got there expecting it to be a 5.5 day and it was a 7.5 day with holes in it. The wind slowly filled in for some fun sailing and then dropped out a bit so John, Adam and myself packed up. During my 10 minute drive home it went crazy apparently, Jeff messaged to say he was sitting it out and waiting for the wind to drop and that was the last I heard from anyone other than Darren breaking 30kn. JV Jonno was out very wide when I left so he must have been out in the big wind and loving it.
Anyway, we'll all be back for more today ...............
Had to go via Redcliffe on the way home yesterday and called in at Queens for a look. It was crazy there, got sandblasted sitting in the shelter.
Hoping the wind stays in for Saturday.
Another strange day at Sandstone, swapping between big and small sails for some as the wind went all over the place. Parso, Pope John, Dag and Jeff sailed as soon as there was enough water but by the time I got there the wind had dropped out for an hour and a half so we were reduced to sitting on the park bench and playing the waiting game. The wind started to come in a little but it was hard work and then we got a good 15-20kn blast for a bit till it dropped back out again. I was up against the clock again so only did 8km and had to pack up just as a 30kn blast hit and we watched JV Jonno get blown around on his little board until even that dropped out again. Adam showed up for the big lull in the wind but was rigging up as I was leaving so hopefully got a good sail in too. Anyhow, another lovely day at the beach with more sailing tomorrow and hopefully I won't be on a timetable.
Sandstone Crew - mummy bought me a GW-60 watch from Andy so I'm emailing in the forms to start up a "Sandstone Seabreezers" team for us minnows of world windsurfing on the GPS Team Challenge and will let you know when it's up and running so you can join the team and start posting your GPS tracks. Hopefully we can poach some of our guys back from other teams .............. you know who you are
Enjoyed my day yesterday after a painful crash at the start..it's always good to catch up with the seabreezers. The wind was great but I ran out of puff before the end of the day so didn't do any speed runs as the tide went out. Rest day today...
Sandstoners - the "Sandstone Seabreezers" team is now set up in the GPS Team Challenge so join up on their website and start loading up your sessions
Lovely afternoon on the water this arvo with beautiful clean water and flat conditions but the wind was a bit up and down so was on the 9m sail and swinging from underpowered to lit up. Adam, Brad and Dennis were sailing too. Adam broke his mast down where the extension slides in so he packed up a bit early, but myself, Dennis and Brad didn't last much longer anyway.
Sandstoners - I'm still trying to figure out how to accept people onto the GPSTC team so hopefully will have this sorted tomorrow and you can post your data
Sandstone Seabreezers GPSTC - there's an issue with me not being set up as the team captain properly so I can't approve new team members just yet so when this is fixed the GPSTC website should email you to let you know
Sandstone Seabreezers GPSTC - Mike from GPSTC has fixed it all up now so you can start uploading your data now gentlemen
Wow, looking at the results today on KA and GPSTC.
pbs all over the shop. Seems everyone just keeps getting faster, further and better. You guys........ well done!!!
Our bodies are now looking for couches though Pete. You'll be pushing us with your results now too, thanks for joining the team
just looking at the 1hr of speed results on ka72
Looks like the sandstone crew are going to be the wooden spooners

Nailed more beach starts than I missed in today's very light conditions at Sandstone. For those who saw efforts earlier in the week it's true I swear. Thanks all for the tips.
Being shown rigging recently someone asked if I'd tuned a batten? No. Did I have a key to do so? No. Cleaning up today I noticed a velcro sealed clear plastic pocket on the sailbag and presto! Had the kit 8 months. Duh.
I noticed that too Pete, I've just checked and your name is not in their team list any more (it was somehow in both team lists for a bit) so the GPSTC guys must have fixed it up.
Great to see Jeff has changed over now as well so all of us Bribie/Sandstone kids are in the one team to compare times for sh!ts and giggles
JV suggested that I contact them -GPSTC so I did. Should be ok for the next sessions.
Things will start to get serious from here on in
Jeff, I would have bought you that damned toaster
Ta for the support
wont be competing for any sheep stations in our little patch
still working on learning to turn around - won't be challenging anybody untill I can get that monkey off my back
Hey fellas. Just wondering if it's cool to swap to your GPSTC team.
Waters warm again so time to get back. Been busy with work and sailing boats over the winter.

Cheers.
I haven't forgot the $50 I owe you Jeff.
Was as thinking of going to turners at the low this arvo if the NE stays in.
Probably more breezy than Willy weather says at turners. Surprisingly flat for the mid tide.
Low 7m high 6 sails
Wade! Mate! I've been saying where's Wade when we've had some great session's in the NE'rs at Turners.
I remembered you saying you couldn't wait. Be good to have you on the team and help carry us.
Wish I was there today. Bloody study and work. Enemies of windsurfing.
Hey Wade, I've been meaning to catch up and let you know about the GPSTC team. Like Jeff says, flick them a message and they'll get in touch with me to confirm and they take care of the change over after that. I'll sms you when I hear from the GPSTC guys. What's been going on, cat sailing?
