Hovering around 10kts mostly so no gps records were in danger of being broken but I had a great weekend stuffing around on the windsup and meeting some new faces.
Thanks to Dennis and Yohanna for your hospitality and thanks Greg for lending me a universal so I could sail at all.
Its a great location and I'm looking forward to next time.
Yes a great weekend! Not a lot of short-board wind but lots of fun on and off the water. Thanks again PDSC, Windwanderers and yes especially our super organiser Johanna for the event and Board Crazy for the support! Let's do it all again pretty soon.

Who's keen for the weekend? Very early neapish tides, gusty 20-30, rain squalls. If you're smart you'd probably just stay in bed and have a nice sleep in. But I'll be out there getting flogged up . Beats work.
What a beautiful day here in paradise, Ilawong beach, Mackay. Late morning sail on this combo. 7.7NP V8 on a JP SLW. Awesome board, no fuss, plug and play, 10-12 knots, planing the whole time. Had a ball.
That setup looks soooo sweet whip.
You must be significantly lighter than me, I've been on the SLW 154 and a 9.0 all week and although its rocking on the outside getting through the shore break and lulls is tough and testing my fitness!
Few days had more E than SE which was a lot easier
Yeah Stump, I'm about 75kgs, tops, wringing wet. I quite like a bit of East in it at Illawong., nice and flat in light winds. You're doing well to go all week, I only sail weekends when possible and I'm tired and sore when I go back to work after a weekend of sailing.
Do JP do a "super heavy wind"?
Im thinking maybe the SHW brown arrow edition, say 80ish litres with a grab handle for epic superman action.
Said handle could also hold the bog roll!

got a board for cyclones if you need but bring your own 3.5
How did you guys in Cairns go in the floods? Any of you live at the northern beaches?
Only Holloways beach had actual flood damage (couple of houses washed away) and road to Port Douglas cut in a bunch of places apart from that all good
Enjoyed a sail this morning in light winds. It's been a while.
Far Beach - Mackay
JP 165 Super Lightwind. NP 7.7 V8
oh! what's happened there? Is that rust or a shear stress break? I have the same one as my spare so better check it.
Obviously the safety tendon didn't help you out there so hope it wasn't too far to swim.
