Great turnup
Sandstone delivered. Flat water and steady wind for the racing. Then the afternoon blast
Most of the car parks taken up by us windsurfers
Had a go on Morgan's Rio long tail. What an experience wide stable and easy to plane - just the sort of board us larger improvers enjoy
I recorded 7.9knts coming last in the racing 16knts in the afternoon on the phantom with 7m sail. Then went out on Petes free formula board with 8.5 and recoded 18knts then backed it up with 16knts on Morgan's Rio
Loving the feedback I'm getting from the GPS LogIt app
Cheers Jeff
Was all that and more Jeff - was a great outing for all - glad you enjoyed your run on the Rio
We are looking forward to the next one
Cheers
Morgan
Great pic's Morgan. Brings back fond memories. Started my Windsurfing journey on Bribie Island back in 83. Used to sail over to Sandstone to get some flat water as the passage got pretty hairy with an out going tide and a SE breeze. Sandstone wasn't developed back then. Hope to get back to Qld one day.
Is anyone still going to Sandstone on Sunday? Wanting to know as I might be able to come up for a while before taxi duties?
Ha ha. Good one. I'll take that as a compliment and my speedy mad skills...
Stuck in tax world and wishing I was sailing wherever you are.
The Pebble Beach - Sandstone pt subcommittee met today for some gentle sse wind flat water sailing
The morning commenced with Pat giving tips on effective RKC approve kettle bell thrusts - we all need to develop our 'pumping' power
Mal served up some nice treats for morning tea care of woollies bakery. Brad has combed gumtree and secured another f2 lightening- jealous!!! Tony rigged his $50 raceboard sail and it looks good. Me - a little fatigued from yesterday's gym decided to get lots of cold water and uphaul practice
A great morning with friends
Cheers Jeff
Ps Dag 'darren' sent his apology for the meeting - had home duties ;-)
Jeff I have been told not to tell you that the breeze came in after you left......so I am not!
Good company and a great spot.
Cheers gents.
Yes, fantastic day on the lightning (as always) big thanks to "Kirgo" for the Arrows Tomohawk, it worked beautiful and felt perfect. Couldn't get a better day, great company, and old gear that is great fun.
Bugger!!!!!! Car still off the road. Wouldn't have been able to bring the Wally anyway. Hope you guy's had fun. Look's like it. Jealous!!!!
Great day & great afternoon of wind (after Jeff left!!)
The Falcon was even spinning out. Had the dagger baord down at one stage & it took off like it was a hydrofoil!
Looking forward to next time.
Great day, pity you missed the wind Jeff. That won't be a problem with those new pumping skills. Looking forward to the next session
