think that is a brand pushing tolerances .... NOT the factory ....
Either way - pretty fkn poor quality that a 12 month old lightly sailed board is bubbling.
They come with breather vents so can't blame vent plugs.

Aren't Quatro/Goya also made at Cobra? I've never had an issue with Quatro or Goya quality, whereas I've had lots of issues with Starboards.

Recently Cobra quality sucks. I have tried a wide variety of Cobra brands, mostly wave boards. Prima vista when unboxing- nice and shiny, but then.... Problems with vent plugs, highly overweight (500 g more than stated), countless surface irregularities some of which I had even given to get leveled, minor but still visible nose and tail traumas ( maybe during storing and packaging), missing front strap inserts on one of the pads, asymmetry and many more. And in the same time you are paying a fortune... I explain this with lower quality work force( especially after Covid)- I don't know what those workers are doing- maybe doing drugs to be so absent minded.. On the other hand brands don't seem to care at all (except for saving costs). If not you than it will be next sucker customer. So I changed the factory. So far so good but lets see.. building boards is more complicated than it seems. The best solution is to build your board yourself and control the process but I have a different occupation-. If you are happy with a board do not even think of updating it with the latest craze- my advice.
I am sure an issue like this can happen to any board/ manufacturer but it's just really frustrating when you spend your hard earned cash to be let down - but hey the board goes off - hopefully i can get to the Ding King and the crew can make it like new again

AV boards.
Dynamo ? how you like ? .... construction good ?
I ride the 78 2021 model. A friend of mine talked me into AV boards. Than I saw Alex Mussolini was on board. This was enough for me to proceed. It took a while to get dialed in after my Goya custom quad. Now I love it, it is my go-to board. It has five boxes, I ride it only as quad, sail range 3.4-4.5. Craftmanship is superior to Cobra, that is for sure. It comes with goretex breathing vent- a thing that I do not like, but I have got used to it. I weighted it before and after a session- no problem so far. Btw actual naked weight is as stated- mission impossible for the cobra manufacturers. It has taken some beating and bashing in waves-no damage whatsoever. Next board on my curiosity list is the Simmer flywave 22/23.. Lets see..
