Fully sick, can be rigged for lots of bottom end and shape, jumps amazing with lots of lift.

To anyone who has experience with both the recent S1s and the Blades, which one do you recon is the best for float and ride wavesailing ?
I know the 2021 Blades quite well, and have tried a 5m S1 from 10 years ago that I found a bit too flat and gutless for light winds, I wonder how the two compares nowadays.

Def the S1 Pro

Lots of lift at bottom end and depower is amazing. I'd say eminently suited to float n ride. I would use them if I could

The old S1 u refer to is is nothing like it at all. If you're in WA I have the 2016 and 2017 5.2 and 5.6 S1 Proif you want to have a go to compare, then realsie the new ones are even better lol.

The weight is about the same for 23 s1 and s1 pro . First comparison of new s1 to s1 pro 22 and s1 pro < 20 almost the same or maybe better than 22 s1 pro , little better than the older S1 pro New blade very good IMO

blade 6.2

I used Blades for about 10 years plus then went from Blade pros to S1's in 2018 5.6, 5.2, 4.8, 4.4m. Then for 2023 went back to Blade (standards) 5.5, 5.0 and 4.5m. Loving the Blades will be getting Blades in 2024 for sure. I like how the Blade is set and forget, big wind range and has more downward pressure.
Float and ride either.

I have used Blades for 15yrs but prefer an S1 5.2 for specific float and ride in good waves .

Its sad but there are rumors that pro production is over at least for a year . Pro has more crisp direct feeling but about the same weight with the new blades and s1 sails.
