Thanks for that I surprised how flexy the plastic actually is, I wouldn't have been game to bend it like that!

Yes I threaded mine through . There were a few curses as I had to reburn the end so it would fit..then I saw the video .. so much easier..
I used mine the first time a few days ago. I could put it together easily away from the gear but it took me a while to work it out in situ. It worked well though..

It's designed to insert the rope, see video:

I do agree though, it makes me wonder how durable that will be

I'm guessing they will turn to powder in 3 months in the Aussie sun.

To me the Avanti design looks better but knowing Avanti very exy as well.

Just can't accept printed crap as production, brilliant for prototyping but lacks the finish, spesh at that cost

I've been using mine for over a year. I still sometimes have issues locking them together- takes a few tries to get it right, but that could just be me.
I found out early on that they are easier to clip together if you rig from the left side. My Severene sails are designed to rig from the right so that's why I was struggling so much at first.
They look like they might pull apart when you have max outhaul on when rigging, but I haven't had any issues with them and they work well.

I've had mine for a while now, still going strong. The plastic is fine.
not as easy as I had hoped to change clew holes out on the water, you need to back off a lot of rope tension to be able to twist the pulleys enough to engage them.
SBC, it shouldn't matter what side you rig on. Just flip the pulley over so that the male-female parts are orientated how you prefer
can't say I'm a massive fan of the pulley. Definitely overpriced, but it has been an interesting experiment

Ymmv, a year on, my pulleys are still perfect. Plastic seems to be of decent quality. They have made my rigging much quicker.
I'll take them to Cocos for an intensive 2 weeks testing session early August, I'll report back upon my return!
