Meanwhile, in Sydney...
great video! At 1:36 one of the most explosive pumping starts I've seen, nice!
Winger winger chicken dinger!
No babysitter had me on the sidelines with the drone. Still stoked though!
Heaven conditions in Ballina, NSW. Kinda rare.

A failed deflate DW attempt due to dropping wind left me nearly not making it home. As the wind went from 20kn to 5kn in minutes, I was lucky I left my wing inflated and even more lucky a big fat boat timingly came past right at the opportune moment and saved my bacon.
Here's a bit of a fun edit from the run on the wake.
Another trip to Jumpinpin on the weekend
Now that's one of the most spectacular dismounts I've seen yet! Running on water! Nice video. Flying.
Here's a video I shot and edited of the conditions we had here a few days ago in the Portuguese Algarve, enjoy!

Those conditions look so epic,..and rideable (We have consistent chaotic short period shore break mess). What drone was used? I'm in the market for one

Nice! Jumpinpin Channel added to the east coast winging spots to visit

DJI Air 2S. But for all drone clips lighting is everything imo. Sunrise or sunset matters more than what type of drone used.

Gotcha. Really tempted for the Mavic 3, just for the added battery life, but the Air2S seems like a much safer (and less costly!) bet. I'm sure I'll never get ideal video quality, just happy to capture the fun without losing the drone
I don't get it...normally like what Alan puts out but this one? All those waves and he doesn't flag-out and ride a single wave???

He has stated before he doesn't like to flag-out and prefers riding powered at all times windsurfing style.

Mavic 3 looks really really good, but they've definitely increased the price tag this time
For me the air 2S does all I'd want it to do. The video quality is amazing, its DLOG profile is great, and I like that it's smaller/lighter than the Mavic 3 because I do a lot of backcountry ski-touring as well, and every ounce in the back pack counts..
but we're getting off-topic

I remember Alan commenting that he likes to be powered up (windsurf style) all the time and he didn't understand the pre-occupation with foiling the wave unpowered.

I suppose this is the bit I don't get (each to their own), but tbe main dvantage that I see that winging has over kite foiling is it's ability to flag out and ride a wave in a proper surf-style. Apart from that kite foiling will give you that powered feel wtithout all of the effort, plus it is better upwind and a lot more manourverable on the water. Winging obviously allows you to get out in areas that are a bit more sketchy when it comes to launch and land.
I don't see any advantage for winging or for kitefoiling and windfoiling, they are ways to have fun on water. Winging provides a bit more freedom to concentrate of bumps to surf...even small lake, wake of a boat...river swell etc. I guess, Sup Foiling and even more prone surfing provide event better surfing feeling over winging and kitefoiling. I'm from a windless area...and there are days where with my 7m and having a good session and kite foiliers are grounded because of too much lulls or they have to swim back. If wind is constant enough, they have an edge over wingfoiling in low and constant wind, but that gap is closer and closer right now. So I would not give an edge on one or the other...it's two great sport...I prefer a lot the simplicity of winging and kiters don't like the bigger front wing...and bigger board we are using in winging..but again, everything is going smaller and smaller. The sport is evolving quite fast!
Took the drone out and shot two batteries worth of flight time before I got in the water myself, epic conditions
