A weak pressure gradient will persist over the Gulf waters for several days. A trough may form about northern Gulf waters later this week into early next week.
Weather Situation for North Queensland
A weak low [1005 hPa] in the southern Coral Sea will drift further away from the Queensland coast while deepening over the coming days. Weak pressure gradients otherwise persist over much of the northern waters. A trough may form about far northern waters later this week into early next week.
Weather Situation for South Queensland
A weak low [1005 hPa] in the southern Coral Sea will drift further away from the Queensland coast while deepening over the coming days, with a very weak ridge forming in its wake. An inland tough will move from southern Queensland out over the southern waters from Thursday into Friday. A low is forecast to deepen in the Tasman Sea later this week into this weekend.
