Practitioners can object but MUST refer the patient on.

They are making the sacrifice easier.

What sacrifice mate?

Are you suggesting that women shouldn't have bodily autonomy?

Seems a bit hypocritical of you. Being forced to wear a mask was too draconian for you.

But it's okay for you to demand that women carry an unwanted and potentially dangerous pregnancy?

This needs an extra large green thumb bar. If you are male the STFU. You don't get a say in this.

People like Pcdefender are incapable of independent thought, they just repeat what they read on conservative American websites.

Wish you were all so equally passionate about bodily autonomy with the vaccine mandate.

I don't think standing to a pregnant woman is going to make me pregnant.

There are a number of countries that didn't need vaccine mandates, because most of their people followed the science and government recommendations. Unfortunately Australia was already infested with many conspiracy theorists and antivax loons who would refuse to get vaccinated or wear a mask. Epidemiologists knew that these loons would catch covid from other loons, walk around symptomless for a few days resulting in exponential spread of the disease, and the death of tens of thousands of Australians.

This is the one time that I must wholeheartedly and unequivocally agree with D3. This is new to me, I'm going to need a minute.
As for PCD if you want to reduce abortion rates, the solution is more vasectomies, much less invasive, and usually reversible.
And WOW, actually men do get a say because we live on this planet too. A lot of men say the wrong thing is all.

...which never happened.

The "loons" were 100% correct.

The experimental gene therapy "vax" was next to useless anyway . It was only around 0.735% effective in preventing you getting the sniffles, and didn't stop you spreading it or dying from it whilst exposing you to a whole bunch of nasty side effects.

The covid vaccination saved 231,123 Australian lives and was 99.266 percent effective in preventing all covid symptoms as well as reducing transmission by a factor of 36.3. Vaccine side effects were barely noticed by less than 0.0012 percent of the male population.

What do you mean by pro-abortion? Are you implying that people are campaigning for every pregnancy to be terminated?

Or that people support a womans right to decide whether they are going to carry that pregnancy?

I was. Mine.

It was just the risk of the other couple of billion people in the world traveling and spreading germs that had me worried. I should have just told them 'no, no virus accepted here', but no one would have listened, so a vaccine was the second choice.

A bit of perspective might help you understand why people are campaigning for this.

How long were vaccine mandates in effect for you?
How long have abortions been denied to women?

Just think if you instead of needing a vaccine in 2021, you actually wanted an abortion but couldn't get one?

You'd now have a kid around 3 years of age.
Compare the impact of this pregnancy and kid on your life with the impact the vaccine has on most women of child bearing age?

A foetus is conscious.

It does not all of a sudden gain consciousness when it is born.

What is the definition of conciousness?

When does it begin?

At one cell? At two cells? A thousand? A million?

consciousness is eternal, it doesn't start or end. Only the subject of consciousness changes.
memories, individuals all cease at some stage, but consciousness is still there.

"There" being a bit problematic. I think consciousness transcends space time, so there may not be a "there"

Sorry guys, there's that much rubbish on here, I feel free to express some strange thoughts myself.

I want to have a crack at a PCtangent post. I agree with D3 but, how big does life form have to be before it's ok to kill it? Everyday we inadvertently eat or kill thousands of micro insects and other life forms - who obviously sentient. Why is it ok to draw the line at not eating animals that you can see? It's not like size is directly related to sentience.

So you can see why I can both:
Support women's right to access abortion
And

Support short term limitations measures in response to a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.

Firstly let's address this issue of consciousness. Yawn in front of a child under two. Humans yawn when others yawn, infants don't. They're barely even human after they're born.

Oh no. You're one of them. Eating meat is wrong because cows have feelings. Eating fish is wrong for the same reason or something. Eating vegetables is wrong because farming impacts the earth or some ****. All solid arguments, but if you look around you'll see the world is full of **** ups, and your campaigning that there's not enough of them and not enough suffering.
What do you think euthanasia ends? Life? No. It ends suffering. I'll be ****ed I'm gonna suffer the next ten billion overgrown semen that were supposed to be destroyed because you've discovered a PETAesque ideology.

Yeah, but you'd have to follow the wildly innacurate work of Dr. Bhatt while completely dismissing the largely accurate work of Prof. Ioannidis to not be a hypocrite, but dismissing accuracy in favour of emotion isn't very scientific so I guess there is a little hypocrisy in your position.

False dichotomy, I do not have to accept or follow any thing else specific to question the accuracy Professor Ioannidis' predictions.

That's like saying I have to accept intelligent design because I don't know exactly how life commenced on this planet.
