Ill be getting out of work a bit earlier now and try to get out. with the west ill prob go for a primbee flatwater session
i had a sail at Peggies. The wind was not cooperating! Too much west , would go from 25knt to 0, very painful as there were some nice waves getting in.
Argghh , too long if you ask me. Defiantly not a fan of winter ! Who is getting out today ? I'm keen for another crack.
15-25kn down south. Thats worth a drive for!
Pls happen.
Nice drive, but didn't see a white cap all weekend.
Kurnel was a nice surprise Monday morning 20-30knots for a couple hours. It then dropped off in 5mins which caught a few of us out. I think I counted 5 or 6 kites in the water and a couple ended up doing self rescue. 1hr later and guys on bigger kites were enjoying a good session as well. If I wasn't so unfit at the moment I would have stayed longer.
Anyone going out at longreef tomorrow? Winds looking good, but I've neve been out there before... Anything to watch out for? (apart from the submerged rocks)

Was wondering if anyone got hammered by that freaky wind.
Nobody posted anything, so thought it missed everyone. At least nobody was hurt.

It started with a 15m kite/10 knots and went to 10m/25k and then 8m/30+ knots and then 18m/10 knots..... madness.

I was struggling for little while with a 12m up, fully depowered and only just staying on the water. I just stayed away from other people and hard objects for a while but was all good
Hey, can You tell me as a newbie and new in town, where would be best place for training when the wind is SSW as a forecast shows that to on friday ?
cheers

I mean ' best place ' like a good spot location is Sydney + ~100km
cheers
Dolls Point and Sandringham Beach on Botany Bay both handle SSW and SW well. Will work best on the run in tide depending on wind strength.
yep, had great time on Sandringham next to bridge. Wind was very gusty until 3-4 pm then wasn't no wind anymore
cheers
Has everyone started their winter hibernation?
Tomorrow is looking the goods for a lake session after work. Think ill be getting off work early ;)
Get ya wetties and brass balls on.
413 Park St East Ballina NSW 2478
What You think? Can I surf there without troubles with law? It's a only good spot what I can find near Byron bay

I have seen that area and I dont think you'd have any law issues, but it looks like it can be really gusty so I'd be carefull...
Head towards skennars or lennox IMO
Too many bullsharks in the richmond and around the river mouth
Good point - but i doubt you'd have issues with bull sharks. I used to Wakeboard in rivers full of bullsharks and never had a problem. Plus, the good part about kiting is that your body is hardly ever submerged in the water provided you aren't a noob!
Kind of felt a little bit like summer today. Had a good few hours kiting at easties with a few waves coming in. Was great to a N/E ... Anyone else get amongst it ?
