i had a sail at Peggies. The wind was not cooperating! Too much west , would go from 25knt to 0, very painful as there were some nice waves getting in.

Nice drive, but didn't see a white cap all weekend.

Kurnel was a nice surprise Monday morning 20-30knots for a couple hours. It then dropped off in 5mins which caught a few of us out. I think I counted 5 or 6 kites in the water and a couple ended up doing self rescue. 1hr later and guys on bigger kites were enjoying a good session as well. If I wasn't so unfit at the moment I would have stayed longer.

Was wondering if anyone got hammered by that freaky wind.
Nobody posted anything, so thought it missed everyone. At least nobody was hurt.

It started with a 15m kite/10 knots and went to 10m/25k and then 8m/30+ knots and then 18m/10 knots..... madness.

I was struggling for little while with a 12m up, fully depowered and only just staying on the water. I just stayed away from other people and hard objects for a while but was all good

Dolls Point and Sandringham Beach on Botany Bay both handle SSW and SW well. Will work best on the run in tide depending on wind strength.

I have seen that area and I dont think you'd have any law issues, but it looks like it can be really gusty so I'd be carefull...

Good point - but i doubt you'd have issues with bull sharks. I used to Wakeboard in rivers full of bullsharks and never had a problem. Plus, the good part about kiting is that your body is hardly ever submerged in the water provided you aren't a noob!
