i got barrelled today ,8,7 SUNOVA flow .thanks to my photography mate for shooting some footage .
I Really appreciated the flows speed as a quad today ,out running sections .

Today was my first time in full winter 5 mm gear.
waves were worth it... just me and a buddy 
My favorite little summer haunt had fun little peaks this morning, predicted with a higher tide, longer period albeit small swell there would be a couple of sliders!
The only issue was that I was on a surfboard and not a SUP, mine is in the shop getting fixed, painful watching a couple of mates stroking into fun peaks on the SUP's whilst I was prone surfing.
Managed some fun ones none the less and the views of the beach were decent 
STC you need to come south of the equator at this time of year!
Typical winter day on the bay by my house. 20kts onshore, bumpy, and junky. Good spots are an hour drive, but the downwind race boards make every day fun.

Some GW's are seen here mid winter, but we stop thinking about them from now till June.

Short clip of an east-side spot yesterday. The Pacific side always has some kind of pulse, especially in winter, but the wind is presominantly northeast. Whenever a cold front approaches, the wind will swing southwest to northwest for a day, making everywhere on the east coast magic

Forgot to mention......kaiaua beach just north of tolaga bay. Definitely a beach break
Flinders today, spending 3 weeks here so hopefully will get the Mana out on some waves while I'm here.
