I've been iso surfing & diving around Byron.
Watch ya toes 'cause it's getting
sharky. A friend sent me this dolphin
pic near Brun's.
Some local fishos saw a
White get stuck on the outer bank at Tallow till a set wave came through.
No surf today in WA unless you're super crazy.
Howling, no actually screaming on shore and 5-6 m swells predicted.
But I have a plan...
I know a secret little place down between some of our islands off Perth.
Between them is a passage where on big swell rollers push through into a bay. The beach faces the prevailing wind so if the swell is strong enough and from the right direction I might get get lucky.
Surfed it once before in similar weather and got some nice 2-3' waves that broke beautifully along the shore line.
Fingers crossed.
that southerly wind was cold today had to don the vest.
was a nice wave ,lucky as the wind pops up this arvo.
WA not so secret secret spot was going off today.
Got in early at sunrise for a 4 hour session.
Kept getting kookier and kookier, so I just kept paddling north to the next uncrowded peaks.
By the time I left the car park was packed. Funny thing that s that it 95% surfers with only a few faithful girlfriends or boyfriends sitting on the beach.
As I left the Ranger pulled in with a frown on her like an angry head master. Good luck enforcing social distancing in the lineup with the steel caps on love.
Boy am I knackered, time to pretend I'm not and get on with my jobs so the misses doesn't revoke my off shore leave.
couple of paddling exercises , south kirra bank nice left hander , then Greenmount only 70 out ..... but the best place was LLs back yard by E rock glassy fast ...
