Well worth the wait.
All devices leaving now are either replacements for the "black lines on screen" issue, or devices paid when the issue was found out, or devices paid when the project needed financial support (thank you).
Farang above entered the queue December 2019 as I had the question before.
Once these are all done, I'll tackle the unpaid non-binding waiting list.
So it'll be January 2022 before everything is resorbed and one can enter and receive a device in 3 weeks or so.
But to give some perspective: it's a miracle they are back. This is LCD trial #10. Plus casings changed, buttons are now protruding, strap underneath, everything is wireless.
In other news, more parts have arrived, casings have doubled in price and I'm discussing with UPS to replace FedEx.
Hi Juliene, you have mentioned a few weeks ago that all devices leaving now, were devices that had been paid. I suspect our order from March 2020 would be part of these devices being despactched. We have not recieved any information on tracking etc yet. Can you please advise as to where we are in this queue?
I see that some have recieved their devices which is comforting, however, we would really really love to know when we would expect to recieve our order.
Apologies for adopting this thread for information, however this seems to be the only reliable feedback we can achieve so far.

There's four australian mixed orders (LCD+Mini) including yours leaving Monday by UPS.
I lost 6 LCD last weekend to an oven overheating overnight. I lost 1 more yesterday to stupidity. So the pecking order is reversed. LCD+Mini now, LCD only next week.
I got many new armbands cut. It will be blue and orange only from now on. Same for Mini straps: blue and orange only as black have an annoyingly different thickness.
New Mini casings arrived, new LCD casings arrive in two weeks.
I have one parcel with unobtainium chips stuck in customs/UPS for a month. If it doesn't make it here, it'll be hell.
Still zero issue on display #10 so far.
You can ask here, it's easier for everyone. I'll reply to non-urgent emails tonight. I'll contact a few of you with orders waiting for payment next week.

There's a stupid bug in the LCD firmware I'll send a bugfix for tomorrow. In the meantime, do not use "Reduce backlight level to: 0% if speed below 0" in the settings. The display would stay off.

Julien, my LCD has been trouble free over 6 sessions in the last month. It's a great unit. I'm looking forward to the update of the firmware.
Waiting for the user impacted to confirm it's solved. Anyway, it's not a recommended/useful upgrade.
There's a massive mistake in my first UPS invoice so this shipping company change isn't settled yet. More Monday when the salesperson comes back from holidays. I've been billed each parcel at default price instead of each shipment. In other words, the bill is about three times bigger than expected as I send multiple parcels per shipment to respect IATA rules. I sure hope it's a mistake but I sent inquiries to DPD and PostNL anyway.

Dear Dezza, I already had a Motion before many of you heard of it. I unfortunately have the version with the black stripes in the screen. I am aware of all the problems that Julien has had regarding this problem as I have been in good contact with Julien all this time. I was promised that I would get a good version when the problem was solved, I all know that it has all been very bad for Julien. My message is about Julien telling me on April 18th that I should expect my Motion in about 3 weeks. So don't judge what you don't know about.
Rein, that's good you're aware of the issues, a few of us have had many emails/messages about imminent arrival too, including some with the early screen lines like yours. You can't really expect Julien to give individual updates on here. It's good to see some are arriving now though, that shows he's working through his list.

Derryn > Rein's indeed in the 2019 black line replacement queue. About devices showing up: I sent many many and only Conor mentionned receiving his lately so forums aren't really representative. This week's was smaller but the next one is another huge batch.
Rein > yes sorry I'll send it the week of August 9th. I only check julien@motion-gps.com and Seabreeze. I try to respect a 50/50 in LCD shipments between regular orders and 2019 LCD replacements but within that latter queue there's 3 subdivisions because some displays are still perfect, some have lines, some have gone completely dark. And with time passing, many moved from some lines to completely dark skewing the shipping order.
Motsbane > it's not the device you would like. It's the other one that was paused for more than a year to find a replacement display.
Firmware > user concerned confirmed it's solved, I'll put the firmware on the website but I wouldn't bother upgrading if I were you. It's a very narrow issue and there's a big firmware update coming next weekend.

I think HDoP is a measure of positional accuracy not doppler speed accuracy. If you're interested in doppler speed accuracy you need to check SDoP or SAcc if it's a ublox device.
I've just checked a file with both HDoP and SDoP, when SDoP shows less accuracy the HDoP goes higher, so looks like the 1.6 is less accurate, for position, but that's not necessarily true for doppler speed.
So you can see by the track here an obvious spike, positional data says it's 29kts, doppler data says 15 knots.
HDoP is 2.4, SDoP is +/-1.67 kts. There will be a bit of correspondence between the two because they are both subject to the same bad satellite signals.
So the SDoP tells you the speed was 15.667 +/- 1.672Kts.
The positional data says it was 29.162 kts with HDoP of 2.4
