Agreed
And given misplaced positioning of the whole fin cluster very often. .. like wayyy off .... maybe some folks aren't feeling what they think they are with such teeny tiny changes
Yes. I just finished installing futures boxes on a bump and jump board and it's not easy to get the fin cluster straight even after measuring several times and checking and re checking. I've got my methods to make it easier and accurate but it's easy to be out by 1mm.
Total or per side?
Presuming the rears?
5mm total.
No toe on the rears
...seems like even the most appalling toe-in afflictions/convictions might be curable with a bit of ratcheting
Yes, for the base of the fin. The fin itself is turned 2.3 degrees on the base again.
In quads where the fins are placed together so much toe in in the front fins affects negatively the flow to the back fins.
OMG Yes! True.

OMG And Now what is the solution?
more toe in to the front fins needs more toe in to the back fins to adjust the flow. but it also depends on the distance between the fins and many other things. All in all it's a HOLISTIC approach rather than a single characteristic matter.
flikka goes 0,4o back fins 1,5o front in many boards but that depends on the customer's preferences ( goes 3 o toe in to the front for proper DTL). Bravo to OLA this guy is way Ahead !!!!!!!! all those shapes with fcs fins . I hope some others with great innovative ideas help themselves get unstuck and think that there is no box but maybe it's too hard or even impossible for some otherwise they would have created quads already

I'm sorry Snappy, you'll have to figure this one out on your own.
Everything is allowed in a green wave garden. If you go to church on Sunday, listen to the rail to rail king....or you can always continue going straight on your favorite lake.
